Indi-ED’s way of work dictates that we strive for MORE. Every day.
From the way that we actually design our curriculum around our students. Yes, our spring break was spent redesigning our curriculum (again) based on our students’ interests and needs and I for one am GEEKED about these next units! Stay tuned!
To the higher expectations that we have of our students to become leaders and own their learning and their own lives. Yes, as a team of families and teachers, not just one without the other.
I’ve been noticing a lot of similar messaging from other schools lately but I would ask you to see if you notice a few differences.
Do you notice educational jargon or ‘buzz words’?
Or is individualized work actually happening?
Is there a sudden onset perhaps because it’s trendy?
Or is there a genuine unifying belief that honors and supports how capable “our” kids are?
Ask any of our teachers, students, families, or go back to any of our initial blog posts-the proof is in the puddin’.
And our fundraising efforts are no different.
Our families know that in order to provide the experiences that we do, that we balance tuition and community support.
Lucky for us, our families align with our way of work and are happy to step up to the plate!
What you can expect from our first family hosted fundraising event is MORE!
MORE laughs!
MORE smiles!
MORE FUN than any “school FUNdraising event” you’ve been to before!
No chocolate sales. No collecting donations for laps. No pressure. No obligation.
Just come enjoy yourself and laugh with us!
(Clearly a staged photo but why not let the kids be a part of the fun?!)
On April 8th, our families have organized an insane lineup of comedians who are graciously joining to support our students as well as aligned some stellar raffle prizes!
Check out the lineup and purchase tickets here.
Or if you’d simply like to make a donation, you can do so at the above link as well.
No strings attached! We hope to see you there to enjoy the FUN!
