It’s only been 4 (official) days with our students and when I’m asked how it’s going the only thing I can say that comes close is, JOYFUL.
From the very first day our kids articulated excitement.
By the second day parents, students, and teachers easily communicated appreciation for one another.
And by the end of the week, they wrote about and answered survey questions that communicated not only excitement for the differences that they already felt, but also a gratefulness of the understanding of the situation that they’re lucky enough to be in.
There is a sense of ease this year. The sounds of genuine laughter and friendly engagement are everywhere. And as teachers, we can see that we’re actually reaching the needs of our students.
There are too many joyful moments to share in one blog post but here are a few.
Nothing is every perfect, but it feels like we may get close.
