Education is most powerful when it is lived, experienced, and connected. Each year is filled with moments that remind us why we set out to reimagine what school could be. One experience this year perfectly captures all things learning at Indi-ED.
Our students were generously welcomed by Simply Organics for an unforgettable, half-day immersive experience that blended science, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship. Students didn’t just learn about a product, they became the scientists and creators behind it. They explored the chemistry of making sugar scrubs, measured and combined ingredients, and then took their thinking a step further by creating a brand complete with a name, a jingle, and of course packaging that would stop a potential buyer in their tracks. Learning came alive in a way that no worksheet or textbook ever could.

What made the day even more meaningful was the time and care Simply Organics invested in our students. The CEO, Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, and Creative Manager each shared their roles, walked students through how a real business operates, and answered thoughtful, curious questions. Our students rose to the occasion; asking insightful questions, making connections, and engaging with confidence. The Simply Organics team was genuinely impressed, and our students left feeling seen, capable, and inspired.

Moments like this highlight what makes Indi-ED different. The values we teach: curiosity, collaboration, creativity, responsibility, and respect aren’t abstract ideas here. They are practiced, refined, and reinforced through authentic experiences and long-standing community relationships. These partnerships don’t happen overnight; they are built year over year, rooted in trust, and strengthened through shared purpose. That’s what makes Indi-ED feel less like a school and more like a family.

Experiences like our visit to Simply Organics show students that what they are learning matters. They also get to see a real world example that demonstrates that science connects to creativity, that communication skills open doors, and that collaboration is essential in the real world. They begin to see themselves not just as students, but as future thinkers, leaders, and problem solvers.
For families considering a change in schooling, we invite you to imagine an education where learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door, where students build real-world skills, meaningful relationships, and confidence in who they are becoming. At Indi-ED, we are proud of the way we’ve reimagined education, and even more proud of the community that makes it possible.
This is an example of one of the many experiences our students are lucky to have every year.
